Biography

Rachel Vansickle, a newly elected Tribal Council Member at Large, brings her passion for community engagement and legal services to her role. Born and raised in Sacramento, California, Rachel has always been dedicated to making a positive impact on her community. She holds an AA degree in paralegal studies, which has equipped her with a solid foundation in legal matters.

As a parent to two teenage girls, Rachel understands the importance of building a bright future for the next generation. She is driven by a strong desire to bridge the gap between the tribal government and its membership, ensuring that the voices of the community are heard, and their needs are met.

Rachel's commitment to her tribe led her to relocate to the area in 2020 when she accepted the position of Community Engagement Specialist. In this role, she has worked tirelessly to foster connections, promote open dialogue, and create meaningful initiatives that benefit the tribal members.

Outside of her professional life, Rachel finds joy in various activities. She has a passion for roller derby and actively participates in the sport. She also appreciates the power of live music and enjoys attending concerts and festivals. Being an outdoor enthusiast, Rachel takes advantage of the beautiful surroundings, often exploring nature trails and engaging in outdoor adventures.
