Biography
Supervisor Albaugh is a fourth-generation rancher hailing from Lassen County, has proudly held the position of Lassen County Supervisor since 2012. Alongside his partner in life, Becky, he is the devoted parent of four children – Austin, Cooper, Tyler, and Isabella. In collaboration with his brother, Aaron is the co-owner and operator of Frosty Acres Inc., an enterprise deeply involved in the commercial cow-calf sector, focusing on raising Shorthorn cattle, cultivating hay, and producing grass-fed beef and lamb. Their operations extend to grazing permits on both US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management lands.
Supervisor Albaugh's educational journey took him through Yuba College and CSU Chico, where he pursued a degree in Agricultural Business. Beyond his academic pursuits, he has actively engaged with his community, serving as a 4-H Leader and lending his coaching skills to junior and senior high school basketball teams.
Supervisor Albaugh has held positions as a board member for organizations such as the Pit Resource Conservation District, Lassen County Farm Bureau, and the Sierra Nevada Conservancy. Supervisor Albaugh has also served as the Lassen County Planning Commissioner and as well as on various leadership positions such as board president of the Fall River - Big Valley Cattlemen’s Association and fellow with the California Agricultural Leadership Foundation.
